01 Aug Almonds Glazed with Sioux Z Wow & Black Pepper
Ingredients
- 1 T. Black Pepper ground
- 2 t. Salt
- 2 T. Sioux Z Wow Marinade
- ¼ C. Butter (1/2 stick)
- ¾ C. Golden Brown Sugar packed
- 4 t. Water
- 2 2/3 C. Blanched Whole Almonds

Preheat
- Oven to 350F
To Make:
- Mix the Salt and Pepper. Melt the butter in a skillet over med. heat.
- Add Sioux Z Wow, Sugar & Water and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add Almonds. Cook over med. heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens (about 5 min.) and sauce is sticking to nuts.
- Sprinkle in half Salt & Pepper mix and stir.
To Roast:
- Line a baking sheet with foil and coat lightly with butter
- Now transfer the nut mixture to the baking sheet.
- Work quickly, using a rubber spatula, to separate the nuts on the sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining Salt & Pepper mixture.
- Bake until golden brown, (approx. 10 min.).
- Remove from oven and place baking sheet on a cooling rack to cool.
- When cool, you can use your hands to break up the spicy nut sheet into bite size pieces.
To Serve
- Serve with a bottle of nice Champagne. These also make an enticing hostess gift.
