Exotic Fruit Chutney
Serves 6-8
¼ C. Sioux Z Wow Marinade
¼ C. Onion, finely chopped
¼ C. White Wine Vinegar
¼ C. Apple Jelly (Mint Jelly for lamb)
¼ C. each Apricots, Prunes &
Golden Raisens or Craisins, chopped
3 T. Crystallized Ginger, chopped
¼ C. Orange Liqueur to soak fruit (optional)
To Make: Soak fruit and ginger in liqueur.
In a small saucepan, combine the onion and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3 min. Add jelly. Let melt. Add Sioux Z Wow, dried fruits and ginger. Stir to mix well. Pour into bowl, cover and chill. Note: This Chutney kept refrigerated will keep 6 months.
Serving Suggestions: Made with apple jelly, it is delectable with Pork Loin or chops, Ham, Duck, Chicken and Turkey. Made with mint jelly it takes lamb to the divine. Serve it next to baked yams for a treat.
